Dow Jones Highest Level in 2009 at 10,516.7

Standard & Poor’s 500 index rose 6.06 points, or 0.6 percent, to as low as 1,105.98, after setting its highest position in 2009 at the 1,119.13 level.

The Nasdaq composite index rose 21.21 points, or one percent, to 2,194.35 level, reaching a high for this year at 2,214.39 level.
