China’s Foreign Direct Investment Increased 7%

Foreign direct foreign investment China increased seven percent in year on year (YoY) in August of this. This gives hope after declining continuously for the last 10 months.

As quoted by the AFP, Tuesday (15/9/2009), China recorded a total foreign direct investment of $ 7, 5 billion in the last month. This is like saying the Ministry of Commerce spokesman Yao Jian China, told reporters.

This increase was still better when compared with a decrease from the same period the previous year by 35.7 percent in July 2008.

As for direct foreign investment during the first eight months of this year fell 17.5 percent in the same period last year to $ 55, 9 billion.

However, Yao expressed, foreign investment in the country’s manufacturing sector is vital at least constant over the last year.

“Foreign investment in China’s manufacturing sector has been very stable and did not see the fluctuations. This is an important indicator. This shows that China in the long run will remain the main destination for foreign investors in manufacturing,” he said.
